Voz Presente is an advocacy program for girls ages 10 - 17, to promote self expression. We encourage each girl/teen to empower themselves and each other to use their voice.
We spotlight the value of using our voices in a creative form to explore ideas/feelings, and accentuate the power of using our voice publicly and collectively to bring forth social justice, speak our truth, and share our narratives.
Our objective is to collaboratively discover new ways of expression such as free writing, poetry, storytelling, song writing, and public speaking. We will share a nurturing collective space to give each girl the freedom and time to use her voice courageously and be present for herself and others.
We provide workshops that foster a safe and nurturing environment with the intention to gain the skills necessary for public speaking. Through the medium of interactive experiences, speakers, and educators, we will collectively explore the many forms and uses of creative writing to freely express ourselves.
